Founded in 1958, in Blue Island, Illinois, Sterling Precision Optics, Inc. has grown into full service optical component manufacturer.

Current management has been in place since 1982 and the company was moved to Evanston, IL in 1984. Sterling Precision Optics, Inc. has the capability to supply a wide variety of optical components and precision machined glass. Recent capital improvements include: 2 CNC Machining centers, Diamond Band Saw, Humidity Chamber, ID Saw, and Diamond Wheel Beveller.

Sterling Precision Optics stocks over 30,000 lbs. of optical glass and optical filter material. This stock allows us to quickly respond to your most urgent requirement. Over the decades Sterling Precision Optics, Inc. has developed excellent relationships with a worldwide network of suppliers. We purchase optical glass, fused silica, colored filter glass and NVIS glass from suppliers in the United States, Germany, Japan, China, England, France and Russia.

Our extensive equipment base, coupled with in-house coating and tempering streamlines delivery of your most critical components.
